Project 52 - Week 27

Guys, prepare for photo overload. We had a REALLY REALLY good week. We started out the week by hiking Kokohead Crater at sunrise (we left our house at 4:15 am!). I'm pretty sure I'm more out of shape than last time we hiked it because I almost died, lol. As you can see, it was worth it.

It was sprinkling rain when we first got up there, causing rain to get on my lens and give me that beautiful, glittery effect.

The photo of me on the edge of the crater is one of my favorites! I'm so thankful my cousin took it for me. I'm glad to have some photos of myself in FRONT of the camera in Hawaii!

Monday was obviously Independence Day. Schofield Barracks always has a huge 4th of July celebration, complete with a free concert, food vendors, cannons, and fireworks. My firework photos were kind of a bust, but we were right next to the cannons, ruining our hearing, haha.

Tuesday was my cousin's last day here on the island, so we went off to grab some shave ice from Uncle Clay's House of Pure Aloha. If you've never gone, it is absolutely worth the drive. It's made with all natural colors and flavors. Be sure you try the Strawberry Dream!

After Shave Ice, we had some time to kill. We went up to Tantalus lookout for an easy, beautiful view of the island. We even found the tree swing!

And before heading to the airport, we spent some time checking out the graffiti walks in Kaka'ako. I can't get enough of the graffiti, as evidenced by the 5,000 photos I'm about to share. I even got in the frame! My cousin took a few and then my nine year old (ALMOST TENNNN!!) insisted on taking his own photo of me.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you liked all the photos as much as I do and will forgive me for over-sharing a little this week, haha. It was a REALLY good week for my camera.

I will see you all next week! Stop by and see my friend Jamie!
